This guide has been Updated to the full release of Atmosphere, and latest sig patches.

Atmosphere and Daybreak.nro will be used to upgrade

In this tutorial I will show you how to upgrade to firmware 17.0.0 without burning fuses.
I made an ALLinOnePackage rar file . It contains everything you will need so you dont have to do anything i.e { sigpatches, fuseeprimary, hekate bootloader, Daybreak homebrew app and even the FIRMWARE file} you DO NOT NEED TO look for sigpatches. they are included already

This tutorial will be made with the safest method possible. Daybreak.nro i will NO longer user ChoidjourNX. in other words the file you will download will only be compatible with daybreak.

How to prepare for the update : DO NOT Proceed if you havent done this
1) make sure you uninstall any themes you might have installed with themeinstallerNX BEFORE proceeding ahead. if you havent installed any themes go ahead without worries.
2) if you have a game cartridge INSIDE your switch take it OUT.
3) If you have any tesla modules or cheats well disable.
4) Remember: I test this on my own units first. before I provide any files. I use the most stable versions .

on with the tutorial below

Very interesting. Thanks for the post. Do you know why it must use FAT32+exFat out of curiosity?
Better wait for an official atmosphere release before moving to this firmware imho.

From what I read, the Switch's exFAT driver is crappy and can potentially corrupt files stored on the SD card.
So, the smart thing to do is use guiformat to format your SD card to FAT32(that's what I did) because exfat by default doesn't have any security safety when it comes to prevention partition corruption. Therefore, it's better to have both FAT32+exFat enabled for you.

Yes as @Jackfavvv kindly answered.
FAT32 is the recommended format per N1nt3nd0. also let me add that the recommended format for homebrew apps is FAT32 and that the crappy exFAT may cause corruption.

the exFAT driver was added as a second thought by the big N.

in this guide you are told to install both drivers so any format you choose is fine. I have gone long periods of time in exFAT. but then I end up going back to Fat32

since you wont be dragging and dropping files larger than 3GB to your SD its totally fine to use FAT32. games that are 16GB or larger will be installed using USB or network so it does not matter the format of your SD.

hopefully that answers all the questions

Use a VPN, Proton VPN is free.

Anyone has extracted prod.keys from this firmware version that can share?
Better yet, from Ver. 17.0.1 ?

After deleting the folders circled in red, the tutorial tells us to drag all contents of the "SD" folder to the root of the micro SD. But there is no SD card folder in the AllInOne main folder. I just copied the entire contents to the root of the micro SD and it seems to have worked fine

Maybe this will help someone

keep in mind everytime you update to a new firmware you have to also update the homebrew apps. ( most of them)

that being said thats why I usually dont make update guides early because my thread would get flooded with questions that pertain to homebrew and NOT my update guide.

1 thing I will guaranteed everyone here who follows my guide is that I test this on my own Switch and I make sure to always use unmodified vanilla working files. and also in case you follow my guide and have issues I will help you till you get it working in case one makes a mistake. If you want a faster response tag me in AKL discord I will answer in minutes

I already retry. But still same issue occurs. Can you share what folders is in your SD card?
I have a massive list of folders for all my Homebrew apps and games, but it's only the 2 you need to remove, as the Sept folder shouldn't be used anymore.
