I have checked your MAL link from the other topic and I noticed that you haven't watched "Texhnolyze". I recommend to give it a go. One of the best, very sad and dark Animes.

One of the best Madhouse Animes :) .

Saved everybody's lists !!!! Thank you all for the recommendations...

I've spend the last 2 years watching a LOT of anime/animated/CGI/cartoon movies actually. LOVE animation (as well as comics, cartoons and manga) from all over the world !!!!

For now I'll take my hat off for @Mogi_Codemasterv for listing Paranoia Agent and Space Dandy so high !!!

If there's one thing I agree on it's Paranoia Agent, truly amazing series. Simply one you have to view multiple times to get the most out of it, to fully understand it... And kudos for Space Dandy as well ! (one of few modern series I've actually watched...)

R.I.P. the late Satoshi Kon.
For me he is one of the most important people to have ever worked in anime !!!

I believe besides Paranoia Agent, he only directer about 4 movies and wrote one "short segment" (called Memories if I'm not mistaken, not to be overlooked !!!), but wow are those some of the most amazing movies for me !!!!

For those who aren't familiar with him, he directed the movies
Perfect Blue,
Millennium Actress,
Tokyo Godfathers,
Paprika.

As well as wrote the segment "Blue Rose" (directed by Koji Morimoto) for the compilation movie
Memories (1995, containing 3 short movies, also highly recommended !!!!)

He also worked on many other movies, and sadly passed away way too soon at the age of 46.... For me it's unimaginable what more amazing things this man could've achieved !!!!

Still hope we will one day get to see a completed or restored version of the movie he was working on when he passed away...

I rate him just as high as Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata (from Studio Ghibli of course), of which I've watched every single movie at least 3 times, most even more :)

I can watch his movies again and again.... :) Very intelligent movies as well as the 13-episode anime series Paranoia Agent. Essential watching for any anime fan in my opinion !!!

Also nice to meet someone who appreciates Space Dandy !!!! After Rick & Morty's initial 3 seasons ended Space Dandy managed to fill that void of si-fi fun and shenanigans for me !!! :biggrin:

Very curious for the other shows @Mogi_Codemasterv mentioned with those two shows rated so highly !

As well "Texhnolyze" which @m0nadpr0xy mentioned !!! Thanks for reminding me ;)

Will be back to mention my favorite series, though I must say I'm quite behind on anime series and have only watched some of the really well known and good one's when it comes to modern anime series. Most series I've watched are pretty old I suppose....

As well as my favorite anime director's and their movies, since I'm much more up to date with movies than series actually !

Can already tell you that when it comes to anime series my nr 1 show definitely is Paranoia Agent as well ! :)

surprisingly good better than other ovas after SF2 the movie imo especially for eng dub.

Hi Rustoman love fist north star movie back in the day is fist of the blue sky the tv series?

Fist of the north star is a tv series, fist of the blue sky is also a tv series but it just came out couple months ago.

i finished monster last night and it was a master pieace the bigening is a bit slow but when it started around 8-9th episode it never stop to choc you .
